Food review: Helsinki - a yummy and adventurous food tour!

In the late summer of 2017, we enjoyed a wonderful cruise through the Baltics on Azamara. One port of call was Helsinki, Finland. Read this food review: Helsinki for more details.

We enjoyed a beautiful day of walking through the city and sampling its food with Heathers Helsinki. Our fist foray was into Stockmann, a large department store like Harrods, with an amazing food floor in the basement.

Heather showed us all the types of products we would be sampling during the day. A great tour guide, and an excellent way to see the beautiful city of Helsinki. Our 4.5 hours included many food stops, (nine!) and lots of site seeing and shopping. A highlight from the day, which seems so minor given all we saw and experienced, is our discovery of Lakrids. You never know what you are missing until you experience something you then cannot live without!!
