Top 5 ‘beautiful Weather’ Options For A Vacation

There is a lot to love and of merit to Victoria, BC, Canada. We love it for about 9 months of the year. For the other 3 months – not so much. It can be dark, wet and windy. This is fun for the first few days, but, when on repeat, it isn’t. This post is all about our top 5 beautiful weather options for a vacation when you are located in the Pacific Northwest of North America.

Our list:

  1. Maui, USA
  2. Caribbean
  3. New Zealand
  4. Australia
  5. South Pacific

1. Maui, USA

Our post on Maui really says it all. It is warm, calming, with lovely food, friendly locals, and lots and lots of charm.

2. Caribbean

The islands of the Caribbean are diverse and run the gamut from beautiful and friendly to barren and unfriendly. We have fortunately experienced mostly the friendly and beautiful ones on a wide variety of cruises. From my first cruise with my parents on Sitmar Cruises in the early 1990’s to cruising with our friends through the islands, we’ve loved it.

Check out our post on cruising the Caribbean. More information on cruising is available through our cruising posts. A free ebook – Cruising 101 – is available when you sign up to Planet Saipo’s monthly newsletter. It covers everything you ever wanted to know about planning and booking your own cruise!

3. New Zealand

A land journey to Auckland, North Island or South Island is great this time of year if you are in the Northern Hemisphere. The temperatures are lovely in their late summer/early fall. Beautiful wine and landscapes as well as an amazing variety of local wildlife to keep you interested. More information is available in our New Zealand posts.

4. Australia

The vast country – including the island of Tasmania – has much to explore and offer. Thus far we have only managed to visit small south western parts of it. Our posts on Hobart and Sydney are just the tip of the iceberg! We will be adding to this with our upcoming trip to Tasmania. We will be circumnavigating it and its wine regions.

5. South Pacific

If you have been here, you know. It is amazing in its beauty. Refreshing in its people. And the weather is sublime. I should also mention that it is ALWAYS on our list. I just have to find a way to go there more. Check out our paradise on earth post to read more about our time in this part of the world.

This is by no means an exhaustive list. When we think of warm weather travel, each of these 5 can be broken down into subheadings for each of the islands, states, and cities. There is always more to see and do. If we are warm and comfortable while doing it, even better.

Happy Travels!
