6 Essential Apps We Absolutely Live By Every Day

What are your favorite 5 apps on your phone?

I can’t even tell you how many times I open my phone to look at something on one of my apps. I know everyone out there is the same. But what are the favorite apps that you always go back to?

Apple News

Whether on my iPad or on my iPhone I take a bit of time each day – at least 5 or 10 minutes – to see what the top stories are. It’s not always business. It’s not always current events. Sometimes it’s food or health or lifestyle stories. And, if I’m smart, that’s all the time I spend.

Instagram

This, I would have to say, is my Achilles heel. I actually have a timer on this app for daily use to make sure I don’t overdo it. It is fascinating to me some of the things people will post. I typically take a look at our posts to see how they’re doing if we have anything recent. And then take a look at some food posts as well as some cat posts – they’re the best!

Tractive GPS

As we have a cat, we have him set up on a little GPS tracking system. And we love seeing the adventures he goes on. Well, I wouldn’t say we love seeing it sometimes it makes us very worried. But at least we know where he is, and we can tell what he gets into by all the leaves and burrs in his fur when he returns.

Fitness

There is nothing so fascinating (sarcasm!) as seeing how I’m doing or not doing with my fitness. I take a look at the Fitness app on my iPhone to make sure that I am trending the right way and if not what I have to do to get back on track. I don’t spend a lot of time on this, but I definitely like taking a look once a day.

My travel apps (alot!)

There are wide variety on my iPhone and my iPad that I look at on a daily basis depending on what trip I am working on or what activities I’m planning for an upcoming trip. I take a look bookmark things of interest to look at more detail later, and I also like seeing confirmations and knowing that I have them all ready to go for an upcoming adventure.
